Interested in Joining a Committee?

Here's what we have to offer:

Fundraising - The Fundraising Committee is seeking volunteers who are connected to the Business World or who have no problem reaching out to those in the Business World who can help us connect with potential donors to purchase sponsorships. We are also seeking volunteers who would be willing to write grants to help us raise funds for our educational events in the future and possible scholarships. Volunteers on this Committee would be looking at the Association as a whole to make sure we do not connect with the same donor too many times. 

Time Commitment: The Committee meets twice a month on every other Tuesday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. There maybe additional time outside of the Committee meetings to get the work done. All Committee Meetings are held virtually.

Membership - The Membership Committee is tasked with making sure our members are aware of all of the amazing opportunities OKMPA has to offer. They are looking for volunteers to help with our membership recruiting efforts by attending film festivals and events and by working our OKMPA Booth at these events. We want to welcome our new members and make sure they get plugged into a role that allows them to reap the value their membership offers. Basically anything tied to Membership recruitment and retention falls into this category.

Time Commitment: The Committee meets twice a month on every other Tuesday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. There maybe additional time outside of the Committee meetings to get the work done. All Committee Meetings are held virtually. You will be able to sign up for attending the events to represent OKMPA based on your time availability.

Events - The Events Committee plans our Golf Tournament and our quarterly educational workshops. Volunteers will help with the planning of each of our events, working with our vendors and facilities, and create a volunteer management plan. 

Time Commitment: The Committee meets twice a month on every other Tuesday from 8:30-10:00 a.m. There maybe additional time outside of the Committee meetings to get the work done. All Committee Meetings are held virtually.

PR/Communications - The PR Committee is seeking volunteers to work with our Social Media efforts and to promote all of our events and activities. We want to highlight the incredible talents of our members by showcasing film in Oklahoma. The Committee works with the media, takes pictures at our events, and makes sure our OKMPA brand is strong. They also produce our e-newsletter.

Time Commitment: The Committee meets every Thursday morning from 8:30-9:00 a.m. There maybe additional time outside of the Committee meetings to get the work done. All Committee Meetings are held virtually. Volunteers may be asked to attend our events to get pictures and create stories to post on our Socials.

Governance - The Governance Committee provides the structure to OKMPA. They work on our Bylaws and our Policies. They make recommendations to the Board for guidelines to be used throughout the Association. They also work on the recruiting for potential future Board members.

Finance - The Finance Committee pays the invoices, codes the expenses and revenue, reconciles the bank statements, and provides financial statements to the Board. The Committee seeks out financial opportunities for investments and interest bearing accounts. 

Time Commitment: The Committee meets once a month to close out bank statements and prepare the financial statements. Most of the work is done via email and texts.
